Adult Faith Formation Opportunities—2018/19 – join either a short term or long term group!

Little Rock Scripture Study: The Gospel of John and Johannine letters will be studied beginning September 2018 on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 10am and Thursday evenings at 7:30pm.


Lord Teach me to Pray: A Part I Women’s evening group is forming for this Ignatian Spirituality Group starting September 12, 2018 at 7pm. For more information please contact Jean Lupinacci at 703-938-1948.


Sunday Morning Program Presentations: We will focus on the theme of “Enlisting Witnesses for Jesus Christ”. We meet in the Gym at 9:30am on Sundays from September through April. Click HERE for more details.


Book Clubs:

  1. One group meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month, September through May at 1:15pm in Room C-104. The September 2018 book will be Introduction to the Devout Life by John Ryan.
  2. The Spiritual Classics group (led by Fr. Paul) meets the 3rd Sunday of the month at 5pm in the Chapel. This group may not continue after Fr. Paul leaves June 28, 2018. Contact Jean at 703-938-1948 for more information.


Men’s chapter of Christians in Commerce: meet every Wednesday for prayer, teaching, small group discussion and fellowship from 7-8am in the Choir Room at MARK. Please contact Jerry Wilkowski at 703-255-9083 for more information.


Cursillo Weekends: The Cursillo is an opportunity to examine and celebrate yourself, your relationship with Christ and your relationship with the Christian community. The upcoming men’s weekend will be held on October 25-28, 2018 at Priestfield Retreat Center in Inwood, WVa. The upcoming women’s weekend will be held on September 13-16, 2018 at San Damiano Spiritual Center in Stephens City, VA. Please go to the Cursillo website to get up to date information about Cursillo dates. After the Cursillo weekend you meet with other ST. MARK Cursillistas for a weekly reunion.


Online Courses:  There are also very good online classes from Boston College called “Crossroads” which are inexpensive and excellent.  Upcoming courses include: online book clubs, Church, Catholic Social Teaching, Liturgy, Spirituality Matters and Old Testament. To register click here


Study by Bishop Barron: We will be offering a study entitled “The Mystery of God: Who God is and Why He Matters” by Bishop Barron during summer 2018 and spring 2019. Contact Jean if you are interested.
